Oysters Cause Illness, Disrupt Trip - Hooked on the Rocks, Falmouth England

2 years ago reported by user-fzfxq264 business

Hooked on the Rocks, Swanpool Road, Falmouth, UK

Swanpool Road, Falmouth, TR11 5BG England, United Kingdom

My daughter and I visited Hooked on the Rocks, Swanpool, Falmouth on Sunday 6 August, 2023. We enjoyed oysters, 6 each (supplied by ‘Fish for Thought’ Prthilly, Rock, Padstow, Oyster Filter Camel Estury), at around 13:00pm.
By Monday 7 August at around 17:00pm I started to get stomach pains. By 03:00am vomiting started and continued into Tuesday evening along with intense stomach pains, fever, aching muscles, headache.
My daughter started feeling unwell at 08:00am and vomited throughout the day, with fever diarrhoea, headache and aching muscles. These symptoms continued to lessoning degrees until Friday 11 August when we started to feel well enough to go out of our accommodation for some air. We were on a visit to Falmouth for my daughter to take her PADI Open Water scuba diving course (as an 18th birthday gift) and for myself to do a refresher course. | Symptoms: Nausea, Diarrhea, Vomiting, Fever, Headache, Stomach Pain, Muscle Pain
