Me and my boyfriend got sick the first night we got to Punta Cana. He remained sick (fever, diarrhea, vomiting, sweating, hallucinations) for five days. I was sick for over ten days, they ran many tests on me back in the UK at the Center for tropical diseases but didn’t find anything. At the resort medical center i was told I had a pelvic inflammatory disease (which wasn’t true) and a gastroenteritis (that lasted over 10days..). They charged us $900 and sent us back to our room with painkillers and lots of water. Couldn’t eat anything for days, couldn’t walk, couldn’t stand... vomited three times per hour.. a nightmare. | Symptoms: Diarrhea, Fever, Nausea, Vomiting, Gas, Sweating
