Strawberry Kiwi Powerade Illness - Kroger, Wilmington Ohio

2 months ago reported by user-vnnhk272 business

Kroger, Rombach Avenue, Wilmington, OH, USA

1230 Rombach Avenue, Wilmington, 45177 Ohio, United States

I had went out to pick up some groceries when I saw powerade had released their new Power Water. I don't necessarily like powerade, but it sounded like a rip on propel so I was just curious. I got the strawberry kiwi flavor and put it in my fridge to try later. Once cooled, I tried it, and didn't think too much of it, so I let it be. Next day, I drink it again, still sort of lackluster. About 30 minutes after trying it again, I realized I needed to go back to the store for things I forgot. Though, once I arrived, I immediately noticed something was wrong. Once I got inside, I made a mad dash for the restroom, barely making it inside a stall before starting to violently vomit. Was this due to the power water? Maybe it being warm the next day? Any answers help | Symptoms: Nausea, Vomiting, Stomach Pain, Chills, Headache

Hi! Thanks for your comment. While some foodborne illnesses can take up to 24 hours or longer to cause symptoms, others (especially those caused by toxins) can appear within a few hours. Hope this is helpful. Wishing you a good day! Best, Iwaspoisoned Support.

Maybe the issue is that it’s sugar free? A lot of people can’t digest or tolerate sugar substitutes including myself
