Reason: Cockroach infestation. The inspector, visiting in response to a foodborne illness complaint, found about a dozen live and dead roaches in and around sinks and the water heater. There were two other critical violations: The restaurant didn’t have hot water when the inspector arrived, but the water heater was adjusted right away, and some sliced watermelon and cheesecake were at unsafe temperatures in a display case.
