My almost three year old son ate a bowl of Lucky Charms yesterday morning, said he was tired and fell asleep on the couch for 30 minutes or so. He woke up crying and vomited everywhere. He had diarrhea and basically slept and vomited throughout the day. I would not have suspected the cereal but just saw the NY Post story and thought it was an incredible coincidence I’d share. To be fair, my 6 year old son also had a bowl of Lucky Charms from the same box at the same time and had no issue. One note was that the final bowl of the box went to the one who got sick. Maybe the concentrated dust at the bottom of the bag contains something?? | Symptoms: Diarrhea, Vomiting

Purchased Lucky Charms March 3 2022 at Ralph's on 3601 East Foothill Blvd Pasadena CA. I ate a bowl as a late night snack and in the morning after dropping off my son at school I had violent stomach cramping with sweating and slight nausea. About 10 mins after on set of symptoms I had diarrhea. The cramping and sweating continued for another 20 mins and again had diarrhea. After I felt ok and thought maybe it was a stomach bug coming on since my child is in daycare and sickness is common with the young. About three days later again had a bowl of Lucky Charms as a snack and the following morning symptoms began again and lasted for about an hour with painful cramps, sweating, nausea and diarrhea however more intense then the first episode. I am a creature of habit and a busy single mom so I eat only breakfast and dinner and it's usually always the same food. I spoke to my family member about me indulging in a sweet night time snack of Lucky Charms and due to lack of variety in my diet knew the gastrointestinal problems had to be from the cereal.
