My 2 non verbal autistic children are mega fans of lucky charms or as they are called in the house, letter cereal. Ever since march 17th my children have been out of school sick. We took them to our PCP and he had multiple tests done and couldn’t figure out what was going on. He prescribed nausea medicine and said let it run its corse. But it wouldn’t go away! Luckily my aunt came across an article about how people across the US are getting sick from lucky charms and she knows my children love lucky charms and she let us know. We stopped feeding it to them and they finally stopped getting sick. I contacted the 1-800 number for General Mills just to get read a script about how they assure their processes are extremely safe, the “manager” assured me that in his almost one year that he has been working there it’s has shown him how safe they really are, and then repeated more from the script. I wanted to know one thing, being my kids favorite breakfast cereal, is lucky charms safe to eat? He would only continue to pull from the script. So I went and contacted General Mills by email because that “manager” left me little faith in is competence. My email described our ordeal and my conversation with one of their “managers”. I told them it sounded like he was reading a script. But ultimately I asked if Lucky Charms was safe to eat? They had the audacity to reply with the script that guy was reading! And at the end they added they would reimburse us for they cereal they ate and NEVER SAID LUCKY CHARMS WAS SAFE TO EAT!!! | Symptoms: Nausea, Diarrhea, Vomiting
