5 days ago and today, I'm pretty sure it was lucky charms cereal. My son started vomiting a few hours after eating lucky charms. This went on for about 3 days. He was starting to feel better today and ate some more lucky charms and a few hours later he starting vomiting, having diarrhea, and stomach pains. 2024, exclusively at their establishment located at 4128 Saint-Laurent Boulevard, Montreal. It should be noted that no cases of illness associated with the consumption of this product have been reported to MAPAQ so far.

The product in question is the smoked salmon (all cuts) sold individually by Étoile Waldman Inc. The salmon was packaged in a styrofoam tray covered with clear plastic wrap and sold in a refrigerated state. Units sold until April 3, 2024.

If you have this product at home, do not consume it and we recommend returning it to the store where it was purchased. The recall was initiated by the operator as a precautionary measure. The product should not be consumed if it has been packaged for more than 14 days. Despite no signs of alteration or suspicious odor, consumption may pose a health risk.

A sample of the milk collected by an inspector from the Department was discovered to be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. On March 13, 2024, the producer was notified of a preliminary positive test result. Further laboratory testing, completed on March 18, 2024, confirmed the presence of Listeria monocytogenes in the raw milk sample. The producer is now prohibited from selling raw milk until subsequent sampling indicates that the product is free of harmful bacteria.

Listeria monocytogenes is a bacterium that can cause listeriosis, a serious infection particularly dangerous for young children, the elderly, cancer patients, and others with weakened immune systems. It can also cause miscarriages and stillbirths in pregnant women. It is important to note that raw milk does not provide the protection of pasteurization, which is the process that kills the bacteria responsible for numerous illnesses and diseases.
