My wife got sick on day 2, she had constant watery diarrhea, which turned into repeated projectile vomiting. She threw up for about 6 hours straight, and then couldn't keep anything down the next day. Took her to the on-site clinic and the doctor was very helpful, treated her for dehydration and gave her an antibiotic/anitparasitic medication. 2 days later and she wakes up with diarrhea again, and 10 minutes after that, I get it too. I was up all night was constant watery diarrhea. I still can't trust gas. Around 6am, I projectile vomited my guts out and I'm feeling so drained. Was able to keep down some crackers and a banana provided by guest services. The only thing keeping me going is the pedialyte my wife was given by the doctor. | Symptoms: Nausea, Diarrhea, Vomiting, Dehydration, Gas

My partner ate Japanese-style sushi on February 8 and thought the salmon tasted strong. He finally got sick during the night. Cramps, vomiting, and diarrhea.
I am sad to hear this is still occurring in 2024! I was there in 2014 and almost died from the post food and drink symptoms. I encountered sepsis and was told a week from death! They found food poisoning and a rare urinary infection names ESBL after my time ar a Punta Cana resort. The food prep and lack of keeping it at a health-promoting temperature is the large danger combined with the warm climate. This seriously needs to be addressed and corrected! I’m sorry for those still suffering after all this time since my encounter.
