My husband and I stay July 8, 2022 through July 17, 2022. On the third day my husband became ill with diarrhea the next day he had fever and was in bed all day except for using the bathroom with constant diarrhea. The next day I became... See More ill with severe diarrhea and then the fever began for me. We lost the whole rest of our trip due to being sick. Once returning home I saw my doctor and tested positive for salmonella with a stool sample. While staying at this resort we heard other guest discussing their same diarrhea issues. This resort is not handling food properly. Nobody handling food is wearing gloves. Food safety should be a priority. I’ve been hung up on more times than I can count, put on hold more times than I can count. I’ve been trying to reach out to the US Embassy. I have had no luck reaching someone there. There is no one that seems to care about our issue. It is all very frustrating and disappointing to know that once they take your money and you leave there’s nothing that they will do for you. Oh wow, my sympathies. My daughter and I stayed at Club Med in June and we both got sick as soon as we got home. I was sick about 5 days but her almost 2 weeks and stool sample was negative. I am reading many horror stories on this site. Good luck with the Embassy and my prayers to you and your husband.

Not one employee wore gloves. One spoon for the whole salad buffet. One spoon for 5 dishes that had seafood, meat or dairy right next to each other. Meat was either extremely well done or raw. My husband & I were there July 8th-17th and we got sick as well! On the 3rd day we got diarrhea & fever. Our whole trip was ruined! Got home and tested positive for salmonella. I am still sick. Day 17 with diarrhea. I am so sorry to hear about your child. It makes me so angry! I’ve been reaching out to the resort and the US embassy with no luck. Someone needs to address this issue!

FSIS is concerned that some products may be in consumers’ refrigerators. Consumers who have purchased these products are urged not to consume them. These products should be thrown away or returned to the place of purchase.
In case you are experiencing Listeria monocytogenes symptoms such as high fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain, and diarrhea, it is important to report it.
