I’ve been with it since august 17th Not sure. I’m pretty sure the buffets at the resort Went with a group of 26 people and already 6 of us have been diagnosed with salmonella and we al ate the same things at the buffets within the resort. I believe this a huge red flag of food safety handling. This place should really be investigated. We are not the only people to get sick with salmonella from this very resort. | Symptoms: Diarrhea, Nausea, Vomiting

I'm so sorry to hear this. My family and I went to Majestic Mirage in January and 3 out of 7 of us got salmonella poisoning. It was hell.
Sorry this happened to you and unfortunately its happening at more resorts there. The last time i was there (different resort) was 5 yrs ago. I got food posioning, literally lived on the floor in the bathroom for 3 days and just wasnt feeling up to par of doing anything and i have not been back and will not go back. This is a poor country and you would think they wouldn't allow this but you do know its on purpose. I vacation at other countries and travel alot and never has this happened and only on Punta is where all the alerts come through.
It happens in every hotel in DR specially on summer time. Summer time (heat) is the worst time to visit any Caribbean destination, the bacteria growth is at peak, plus misshandling of food and poor hygine is the worst combination. Anyhow happened to us and many, many other guests they will never wite here, first hotel will never take responsability, neither your travel agent. The best case scenario is to get out as soon as posible and hopefully with no collateral damage. Many people cant go back the regular life.
