“I ordered a Spicy Sausage Burrito yesterday which I’ve had before and it didn’t bother me. But when I had the burrito yesterday I had started to feel a little nauseous afterwards. I also ordered a Strawberry Banana smoothie which I thought may have been the culprit but I honestly doubt it now. I mad... e constant trips to the bathroom all night and into the next day as well (Sorry, I know. TMI) I’ve been having different food poisoning symptoms today but haven’t thrown up at all. I think maybe either the burrito wasn’t refrigerated or something else happened to it but it hands down has to be the burrito cause none of this started until 30 minutes after eating it. ”

“I had food poisoning after having lunch there.
I went there with my friend on Nov 25th around 1pm. We ordered drunken crab, shrimp, pork and uni rice bowl. 30 min - 1 hour after lunch I started to feel slight discomfort in the stomach. I did NOT eat anything in the afternoon and evening. I typica... lly have a very regular eating schedule but on that day I had no appetite for dinner.
The next morning I woke up around 7 am, and then at 9, I started to feel chill, strong headache, nausea, and extreme abdominal pain. I had a fever and my body temperature was 101 F. I vomited twice and the vomitus appears to be a thick yellow liquid.
I went to the urgent care and ER and had some basic food poisoning treatment which slightly alleviated the symptom. Since then I continue to have headaches and mild fever. In the past 4 days I can only eat liquid food and any solid food causes further pain.
I have talked to the restaurant but they refused to take any responsibility. ”

“I ordered via DoorDash just before midnight on 11/24. The burgers clearly had been reheated, which means the food was potentially in the trash can prior. The quarter pounder and the mcdouble packaging had white greasy chunks and slime like substance melted all over it. I had went to open the box whe... n the smell got to me and the fries I ate prior which were also soaked in grease like they too, had been reheated. It seems the staff at this location should have the video tape pulled on them to verify they are not tampering with the food, because around 1am on 11/25 just 5 minutes after eating the McCurry first and the fries, I had puked from the overwhelming experience. I looked at the bun from the quarter pounder and it also had burn marks like the bread was burnt from being reheated as only part of the bun was burnt slightly more than the rest, but was still firm like bread gets after its sat out from being reheated again. I puked twice and I have a throbbed in my neck from the force of the puking. I have a oversalted and greasy taste in the back of my throat and this is very discomforting. I feel very sick to my stomach still and its very uneasy. I would like some action taken see the images for yourself. ”

These products were harvested and packed nearly 4 weeks ago and should no longer be in commerce. Consumers are advised to check product they have in their homes and discard any product matching the production description, UPC codes and Harvested-On dates listed above.
This precautionary recall notification is being issued due to an isolated instance in which a package of Dole™ Organic Romaine Hearts – 3pk yielded a positive result for pathogenic non-O157 E.coli STEC in a routine sample collected at a retail store by the Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development. There is no indication at this time that this positive result is related to any illnesses nor consumer complaints and it is not associated with the strains connected to the ongoing outbreaks currently under regulatory investigation.
No other Dole products are included in the recall. This voluntary recall does not apply to any bagged or clamshell salad romaine product. Only the specific Organic Romaine Hearts listed, with the exact UPC codes and Harvested-On dates identified above, are included in the recall.
