Goodbye! and best wishes in your recovery

Bananas are usually thought of as safe to eat after food poisoning, but you can get sick from them as well. Whether eaten by itself or as part of a dish like a banana split, it is possible to get sick from bananas. The main source of illness comes from germs on the peel contaminating the inside.

Today, from KFC at 294 W Granada Blvd Ormond Beach, FL  32174 United States Chicken nuggets. My 8 year old son became violently ill within an hour of eating his chicken nuggets. All my son has eaten today was cereal and an apple for breakfast, a peanut... See More butter and banana sandwich on toast (all made from home), and then KFC for dinner. We’ve been eating the things prepared from home all week without issue, but within an hour of eating KFC’s chicken nuggets he started complaining of stomach pain. I brought him into bed, gave him anti nausea medicine and he fell asleep. He has woken up multiple times vomiting, and the anti nausea medicine is prescription and works for everything except food poisoning. He’s sweating profusely, passing gas, and vomiting/having diarrhea simultaneously. | Symptoms: Diarrhea, Nausea, Vomiting, Sweating, Stomach Pain, Gas See Less

I ordered a bagel sandwich today shortly before they closed for a nice light lunch. At first I was put off about $16 before tax for a bagel, but I told myself that I have to try everything once and the reviews for this place was fantastic.... See More The bagel itself tasted good, but I did find a bone in my salmon and had to spit it out mid chew.

The reason I’m giving this place two stars is because now I am suffering from food poisoning. I only ate the bagel for lunch today and a banana so I just know this is the culprit especially because of the dairy and smoked fish. I’m not sure if it’s because it was almost 1 PM and things were sitting out or whatever, but I am not happy about spending nearly $18 for a food-poisoned bagel.

Would not come back here nor recommend it to anyone else. There are other bagel spots in the area. Beware! | Symptoms: Diarrhea

I got a Mexican chicken wrap from Lidl and ate it around 2pm, by 5.30pm I started feeling unwell, aches, fever, shivering, nausea and stomach cramps. By 7pm I was violently vomiting with stomach cramps and aching all over. The only other food I ate before that... See More was toast with peanut butter and banana and a black coffee in the morning, so I know for certain it was the wrap. The wrap didn't expire until Feb 10th and was found in the fridge. Definitely will never be buying one if these again. | Symptoms: Nausea, Vomiting, Fever, Cramps See Less

I purchased Bananas from the supermarket. I ate 1 on Tuesday this wee and 1 hr later I was in severe pain in my stomach. I alsonhad vomiting, I felt weak and had chills. I didn't think it was the banana until Wednesday this week I ate... See More another banana and I got sick like I did on Tuesday but on Wednesday it was much worse. I informed my husband and asked him to try the banana to see if indeed was from the banana and he also got really sick. I have 2 or 3 at home still I will bag them and freeze then incase I need to send them for testing. Today I have some discomfort in my stomach since this issue transpired. Bananas The bananas were bright Yello and was not any indication of being rotted. No brown marks either. 1 thing I did notice was that then I did open the babana the top portion was very moist only in 1 small spot. I was about to rush to the hospital last night on Wednesday this week because the pain in my stomach was so bad, I was crying and I could not come out of the fetal position for over an hr, and when I did I had piercing pains across my belly. | Symptoms: Vomiting, Chills, Other, Diarrhea, Nausea, Stomach Pain See Less

Had a banana as a snack around 9pm, before bed, and woke up around midnight with cramps in my stomach. I drank a glass of water and immediately felt nausea and threw up. Tried again later and threw up again about 6-8 times. Can’t hold anything down... See More without nausea. My son also had a banana from the same bunch two days ago and got really sick too. Same symptoms. The brand was Good and Gather and it came from Guatemala. We didn’t realize it was the banana when my son got sick so we didn’t throw them away until I got sick too. | Symptoms: Nausea, Vomiting, Cramps See Less

My wife got sick on day 2, she had constant watery diarrhea, which turned into repeated projectile vomiting. She threw up for about 6 hours straight, and then couldn't keep anything down the next day. Took her to the on-site clinic and the doctor was very helpful,... See More treated her for dehydration and gave her an antibiotic/anitparasitic medication. 2 days later and she wakes up with diarrhea again, and 10 minutes after that, I get it too. I was up all night was constant watery diarrhea. I still can't trust gas. Around 6am, I projectile vomited my guts out and I'm feeling so drained. Was able to keep down some crackers and a banana provided by guest services. The only thing keeping me going is the pedialyte my wife was given by the doctor. | Symptoms: Nausea, Diarrhea, Vomiting, Dehydration, Gas See Less
