Goodbye! and best wishes in your recovery

Pickles could be the cause of food poisoning. In 2010, pickles were recalled after being identified as the source of a Salmonella outbreak in Illinois, and again in 2015 due to potential contamination with Clostridium botulinum. A Clostridium infection is often characterized by difficulty swallowing and muscle weakness.

    Belize

Specially ordered a foot long submarine type sandwich from a very good resort restaurant to take on the plane.
Sandwich had a thick slab of just fried ham, cheese, dill pickles, jalapeños, onions, lettuce, butter, and mayo. It was then baked and handed to me in tin... See More foil, very hot. As background, temperature in Belize was 30C and very muggy. Ate the delicious sandwich at the airport about 3 hours later. Got home and went to bed. About 8 hours later, and for the next 3 hours, I stated to vomit and had diarrhea. I couldn’t hold water and got extremely dehydrated.
Surprisingly, I had no abdominal cramps or pain.
Doctor said the culprit was MAYO! Sandwiches containing mayo should be eaten within two hours if left at room temperature. Definitely much sooner at 30C Belizean temperatures. Bacteria starts to grow very fast and that was the culprit.
I got sick about 8 hours after eating sandwich made with mayo. | Symptoms: Diarrhea, Vomiting, Dehydration
