“I had ordered a jalapeño cheesy bread. I add half off it, noticing the cheese wasn’t melting all the way through but still felt “melted”. I then opened up the other half of the cheesy bread, come to find out the bread wasn’t even cooked. It was 100% raw dough... and I had just eaten half of one. The next day I’m having extreme diarrhea/Nausea/ & fever. ”
“Salad Ordered some food a hamburger steak with baked potatoe and a salad well I got home with the food I decided not to eat the salad til 3-4 hours after leaving it in the to go box I decided to eat it with some thousand island dressing and later... on that night I threw it up the next day I wake up with abdominal pain and diarrhea but it's not like water and I stay naseua ”
“I had guac with chips from there twice that day, and around 9pm was the second time. I went to sleep, woke up incredibly nauseous and puked mostly only Guac. I feel so much better now. ”
“We both got sick. She had a Crunchwrap and three tacos no sour cream. I had a Crunchwrap and a bite of a burrito supreme. Mine all had sour cream. The next morning we both had watery diarrhea, vomiting, severe nausea, fevers, cramps. I suffered dehydration from not being able... to keep anything down and became dizzy. I am still having some symptoms now on day three. ”
“Four of us shared about 6 different types of rolls varying in types, both raw and cooked. Plus a grilled calamari plate. Our guests were up all last night due to being ill with vomiting, watery diarrhea, severe aches, nausea, sweating, chills, etc and led us to become rather dehydrated.... So miserable and disappointed! ”
“Ate dinner there. 3 hours later became extremely sick over the next 12 hours. Vomiting and diarrhea. Worst experience of my life. ”
“Ate cod nuggets the evening of 2/4, experienced diarrhea later that night. Next day, feeling intense stomach cramps, nausea, chills, muscle aches, and tingling skin. This is not the first time the Institute of Art and Design dining hall has given me food poisoning. ”
“I ate their frozen custard and only ate a very small part of it since they gave me a lot. A few hours later, I got a stomachache and had diarrhea and was feeling a bit nauseous. I am 95% sure it was from the custard, since I didn’t eat... anything else different today. ”
“We're pretty sure it was the Pizza we had from here. It tasted a little off so we stopped eating but both woke up at 2am with stomach illness. I am still not feeling well. My husband and I felt sick about 8 hrs after eating dinner there (ate around... 6:30 pm and woke up at 2am with stomach ache, chills) ”
“When I reported that I got sick from eating lobster I said it was at Brown's but I was mistaken.. I apologize for the inconvenience. ”
“I ate a portobello mushroom egg Benedict around 4 pm, which contained spinach, yolked eggs, and biscuits 7/7. I ate a veggie wrap on 7/6 around 3 pm from Dustins Bakery. I ate veggie pasta & a peanut butter chocolate 'cake' at 6 pm 7/5 at the Crooked Pine. Felt... hot before heading to bed at 12:45 am 7/8. First abdominal cramp occurred after laying down at 1 am. Was awakened at 2:45 am with diarrhea. Laid back down at 3:05 am. Back up at 3:10 am. Guessing it was the eggs based on symptoms and timeline. ”
“Not sure ate there yesterday 6/11/20 8 hours after lunch sudden onset of nausea, vomiting and diarrhea ”
“Gluten free cheese pizza. Abdomen pain and diarrhea still 20h later ”
“Ate there the other day, got a Greek gyro, with sweet potato fries and a orange cream milkshake. I ordered the same thing like a week before and was fine so I thought I’d ordered the same thing again. But soon after I finished my meal the second time my... stomach started to hurt, later that night I had chills and fever. The next day I could have a bowel movement and was burping and farting all day. Now it’s the third day and I’ve been having diarrhea and fever. It’s really horrible and NEVER eating at that restaurant ever again. I did some research and seen people have had a similar fate to mine, which shouldn’t be tolerated. They really need health inspectors in Anchorage for this to be happening when thousands of people order from that restaurant chain everyday! ”
“I always get bad diarrhoea Approx 8-12hours after eating there and so does my husband. I don’t know if it’s the cheese or other ingredients but it always causes strong cramps, then diarrhoea but as soon as it’s out I feel fine again. ”
“Fifth Third Bank sponsored a “get together” event for their loyal customers before the University of Cincinnati vs. Temple University basketball game on March 7, 2020 at the Fifth Third Arena on the campus of the University of Cincinnati. Fifth Third Bank had this event catered from an outside vendor,... which included the following food items: chicken fingers, BBQ meatballs in sauce, and soft pretzels with cheese sauce, nachos, popcorn, cookies, and dipping sauces. After eating at this “get together” event, I became sick during the basketball game and I was running back and forth from my seat to the bathroom while throwing up in the bathroom each time. Finally, I decided to leave the Fifth Third Arena because I was so sick and I could no longer watch the game. Also, on the drive home, I had to stop to the side of the road and throw up on the pavement.
I spent $200 per ticket for the Basketball game, which was ruined because of the food poisoning I incurred after eating the food at the catered event sponsored by Fifth Third Bank.
After contacting Fifth Third Bank, my wife was told that someone would be looking into this matter immediately. However, the COVID-19 pandemic impacted the Cincinnati area and all employees of Fifth Third Bank went on lockdown.
I then contacted the Cincinnati Public Health Department about this incident and they then confirmed following an inspection at the site that there were dirty dishes found with the Caterer of the event for Fifth Third Bank.
Since Fifth Third Bank sponsored this “get together” event and hired the Caterer, they should be held accountable for my husband’s food poisoning. Not only was my husband spared after recovering a in a few days, he could have died if he had eaten more than his original plate of food.
Hence, I would like Fifth Third Bank to honor their original promise and afford us $400 for the basketball tickets we purchased for the game which we couldn’t see because of my husband’s food poisoning.
If this matter is not resolved by Fifth Third Bank, I will lodge a complaint with the Ohio Attorney General as well as the Cincinnati Public Health Department so that Fifth Third will be prohibited for hosting any future events involving the provision of food to the general public. As well, I will seek punishment of the Fifth Third staff members who sponsored and setup the event with their assigned Caterer.
After spending the last 4 months trying to resolve this issue with Fifth Third, I am deeply disappointed in the apathy displayed by Fifth Third staff members, including the bank managers at 2 location in the Mason, Ohio area.
Please therefore have someone contact me at the earliest opportunity so this matter can be resolved once and for at all.
