Cereal Linked to Diarrhea - Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, Oceanside California

3 years ago reported by user-vttkc276 business

Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, Vandegrift Boulevard, Oceanside, CA, USA

20250 Vandegrift Boulevard, Oceanside, 92058 California, United States

2 weeks now my children and husband have had diarrea. We did know what it could be but they didn't have any other symptoms except diarrea almost daily. The only different thing I had brought home from my grocery trip was malt o meal marshmallow mateys (2 family size bags) from here. That was the only new cereal I had bought and my kids had been having it on and off during breakfast for the past few weeks. My husband also had it a few times and complained of diarrhea but didn't know what it could be. I never eat "children's cereal" for breakfast but today I was cravings some and so I poured myself a bowl of malt o meal marshmallow mateys. That proved to be a bad choice because I'm also suffering from diarrhea now. I immediately knew it was the cereal because it was the only thing I ate different from what I eat on a normal basis. I finally realized the cereal is what was making my family sick this whole time. I immediately threw out the remainder of the cereal in the trash. | Symptoms: Diarrhea
