Chicken Nuggets Illness Spreads - McDonald's, Lubbock Texas

9 years ago reported by user-fpbw7179

McDonald's, Slide Road, Lubbock, TX, United States

6007 Slide Road, Lubbock, 79414 Texas, United States

Ate 19 of 20 chicken nuggets Sunday night around 10 pm. Thought the felt "smushier" in the middle than normal but ate them anyway. Felt fine till the next day, Monday evening, around 6-7 pm, when I began feeling "off" and "weird". Developed into gradual nausea till I was in the bathroom vomiting around 9 pm. Threw up 5 times during the night, mild diarrhea, no throwing up after 6 a.m. Tuesday morning. Diarrhea all day that worsened, felt incredibly weak, slept on and off. Diarrhea all day Wednesday, still weak. No appetite or ability to eat a solid meal till today at dinner. Husband ate 1 nugget, took care of me till today, and suddenly is sick with the same symptoms. He dry heaved more than I did, classic food poisoning symptoms. Whatever strain of bacteria it was was contagious via methods other than consuming the nuggets, because he clearly got sick from the same strain as I did (too coincidental otherwise. Must be food poisoning, we are incredibly healthy and are never EVER sick. Only meat/food eaten recently we could've gotten it from). | Symptoms: Diarrhea, Nausea, Fever, Vomiting, Other, Weakness, Loss of Appetite
