Mouse Infestation Closes Restaurant - My Sichuan, Oxford England

Closure Date: 09/02/2019Oxford City Council environmental health officers forced an Oxford restaurant to close after mouse droppings and flies were found in food service areas. They found widespread evidence of active mouse infestation and heavy fly activity in the premises, which posed a significant risk of food contamination. A hygiene emergency prohibition notice was issued requiring immediate closure of the restaurant.
Following a hearing at Oxford Magistrates Court on Friday 6 September the court issued a formal closure order. The restaurant’s management was represented in court.
