Cockroach and rodent infestation. An inspector visited Jan. 12 in response to a complaint that someone saw two dead roaches on the floor and the restaurant smelled foul. The inspector immediately noticed a “sewer like smell,” which the operator said was coming from the grease trap. The inspector didn’t see any roaches but did find some old rodent droppings on the floor, and the operator said pest control had last visited in August. The inspector went back a week later and found one live and three dead roaches, as well as a trap left by pest control that was full of live and dead roaches, plus some fresh rodent droppings on the floor and in a cabinet. The restaurant had been shut down once before, for a week in November 2018, because of a cockroach infestation.
