Subs Cause Severe Sickness - Nonna's Sandwiches and Sundries, Chicago Illinois

8 years ago reported by user-qtfg2178 business

Nonna's Sandwiches and Sundries, West Randolph Street, Chicago, IL, United States

925 West Randolph Street, Chicago, 60607 Illinois, United States

On Dec. 9th my friends and I had subs from Nonnas. I had the Whatthe? and half of my friends meatball sub. Late in the evening I all of a sudden just felt terrible, verge of sickness. Then around 12am started the worst three days. I laid on my bathroom floor for three days. Everytime I even moved I ended up getting sick. If I drank water or tied to eat a cracker, I would vomit. I laid in the bathroom as I was vomiting so frequently and felt so weak that being in my bed wasn't an option. I was unable to consume solids or liquids for the first 48 hours. On the second night, I ate a light dinner but unfortunately at 3am, it was time to retreat back to the bathroom where I stayed until the following day. My friend that also ate the meatball sub was very ill as well. The others didn't feel well but weren't as sick as we were. On the third day, I contacted my doctor and they put me on the BRAT diet for a week. During this timeframe, if I attempted to eat something outside of the BRAT diet, I ended up not feeling well and was very tired. | Symptoms: Diarrhea, Nausea, Vomiting, Other, Weakness
