Chickpeas Cause Severe Diarrhea - PC blue menu canned chickpeas, Toronto Ontario

2 years ago reported by user-jknbj526

PC blue menu canned chickpeas, Toronto, ON, Canada

Toronto, Ontario, Canada

I made a fresh vegetable stir fry then added a can of blue menu chickpeas for protein. At about 4 hours after consumption I got sudden onset of lower abdominal cramping with severe fatty diarrhea accompanied by nausea. I have my food safety certification and prepared carefully and had no other cross contamination The only thing I can figure is the chickpeas even thinking about them I don’t want them now. The BB was Mar 1/2026 lot #VF 3031722/45 | Symptoms: Nausea, Diarrhea
