“Got some fast food a few days ago after a long night at work. Ordered a spicy chicken sandwich and small fries. I ate my entire meal. Within an hour or so, I had painful, non-stop diarrhea, and it continued for the entire following day. Even when not on the... toilet, my intestines were swirling like a washing machine. Gurgling sounds persisted for hours, as did the discomfort.
This isn't the first time it has made me seriously ill. Many years back, I had a junior bacon cheeseburger, and I suffered the exact same symptoms.
I have eaten here multiple times before then and now, so it is not a reaction to their food. ”

“At 16.32 24/02/2020 I ordered a Mango and passion fruit cooler/ smoothie.
It was slopped into a glass and was melting everywhere. I was really thirsty but can't drink these fast as I get really bad brain freeze. My husband arrived a few minutes later. I started to feel unwell... and said I was going to go straight home, he had a prior engagement so went to that. By the time I got home my stomach had swelled up and I was in agony. When my husband got home I was near to tears with pain and said I felt really sick. I was in bed..he brought me a bowl and towel..5 minutes later I realised I was going to be sick and rushed with the bowl to the bathroom.i was sick 6 times in quick succession. My stomach was agony.the liquid as that is all that came up..was mango orange colour and burnt my throat. The worse thing for me is that I had stomach surgery 4 years ago and I was upset that I would have to go to hospital. It's been an 1 and a half since I was sick. My stomach is tender to touch but not griping pain now. I wonder if the mix was out of date as it's more a summer drink. I didn't know who to report it to then saw this site.i want to make sure no one else has it. I won't be drinking here again. ”

“There is some confusion surrounding the current Coronavirus disease (Covid-19) outbreak that began in December 2019 and whether you can get it through food. Here is some information:
Feb 26 UPDATE: The Chinese CDC is investigating the possibility that the virus can be spread through fecal matter that could possibly... contaminate food and water. The Chinese CDC has found live viruses in stool samples of COVID-19 patients and can be a partial explanation for the rapid spread of the disease. The agency is recommending strengthening sanitation and hygiene measures.
What is Coronavirus?
Coronaviruses are a large family of viruses found in both animals and humans. Past outbreaks include Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS) and Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS). The current novel(a new strain that has not been previously identified in humans) Coronavirus strain called 2019-nCoV is thought to originate in live food markets in Wuhan, China through animals and human contact.
How is it transmitted?
Coronaviruses strains are usually transmitted through the respiratory system, so it is typically thought of as a low risk of infection from contaminated food. Restaurants can be a site of transmission of coronavirus because of the large numbers of people congregating in close quarters and then coughing/sneezing could spread the disease just like in other places (transportation, schools, etc). But the food itself normally isn’t a likely vehicle.
The current Coronavirus strains 2019-nCoV has been found in stool samples of COVID-19 patients by the Chinese CDC which means that the current outbreak might be transmitted from multiple routes not just through the respiratory system as usual.
Signs of infection?
Common signs of infection include respiratory symptoms, fever, cough, shortness of breath and breathing difficulties. In more severe cases and those with weakened immune systems, an infection can cause pneumonia, severe acute respiratory syndrome, kidney failure, and even death.
World Health Organization (WHO) recommends standard measures to prevent infection spread include regular hand washing, covering mouth+nose when coughing/sneezing, and avoiding close contact with anyone showing symptoms of respiratory illness such as coughing and sneezing. Additional recommendations from the Chinese CDC include strengthening health publicity and education; maintaining environmental health and personal hygiene; drinking boiled water, avoiding raw food consumption, and implementing separate meal systems in epidemic areas; frequently washing hands and disinfecting of surfaces of objects in households, toilets, public places, and transportation vehicles; and disinfecting the excreta and environment of patients in medical facilities to prevent water and food contamination from patients’ stool samples.

“I ate "FisherBoy" 120 pack fishsticks and "SeaPack family size butterfly shrimp. I cooked both at 500 degrees for 12 minutes. About three hours after eating the fish I was unable to stand up straight. I flushed my system with water, vomited, diarrhea for the next hours. I was the... only consumer. ”
“Pre made salad "family caesar salad with bacon 730g" with renéé caesar salad dressing 1/2 fat which we got it was made on feb 23, best before 26 feb 2020 dressing(2020al01) it's was refrigerated only in the car for 15mins, made half yesterday 24th and half today 25 feb i... got sick yesterday but thought it was the eggs (not realizing there was eggs) had the shits and puke once but constantly regurgitating which is normal reaction to eggs so I avoid it today but my girlfriend and sister ate it and has now puking , cramping and having diarrhea it's been 6 hours since eating it the symptoms started about half hour ago. I still have diarrhea, feeling sick and cramps 30 hours later we don't believe that we have a fever but no way to test. As of writing this we haven't gone to the hospital but as this progress tonight we might end up there. We know it was the salad as everything else we have eaten has been self maded and well cooked and rather limited spaghetti, eggs, hashbrowns, my girlfriend's brother refused salad and is the only one who is well, ironically. Ps on top of it our dog has puked we think he might have eaten some of the salad that landed on the ground but that could be completely unrelated tho. ”
“After dinner down the street at a restaurant, my 8-year old son indulged in a full scoop of Rainbow Sherbet on a sugar cone. I warned him that it was too big and that he might get sick. 4 hours later he barfed up our expensive night out. “FDA announced the recall of Nopalina Flax Seed Fiber (powder and capsule) products by Salud Natural Entrepreneur, Inc. due to potential Salmonella contamination in one of the ingredients used on the product. No illnesses have been reported linked to this recall.
