Moldy Rice Causes Illness - Popeyes, Brandon Florida

Last night we got Popeyes because time got away from us so we decided to do take out. I mainly just wanted the rice and beans.

I sat down to eat my cup of rice and beans and it tasted like how mildew smells and I start digging around a bit and I start seeing fizzy rice bits! At first I thought it was an undercooked rice and started throwing the pieces out figured maybe I’ll toss the rice and eat the beans but after I took a closer look I realized the rice had white mold on it! I threw it in the trash. But of course I had a few bites first. I went to check my son’s food and his Mac and cheese is burned and I tell him to throw it out I think the sides must have been old or something. Told my husband to get a refund if he can since he ordered off the app. Here I am 6hrs later with food poisoning vomiting, diarrhea. Thankfully my family is still asleep so I’m pretty sure it was the rice. | Symptoms: Nausea, Diarrhea, Vomiting
