Clam Chowder Black Mildew - Progresso, Southern Pines North Carolina

10 months ago reported by user-bprkc421 business

Progresso New England Clam Chowder, Food Lion, US 15-501 Hwy, Southern Pines, NC, USA

10205 US 15-501 Hwy, Southern Pines, 28387 North Carolina, United States

Opened a can of Progresso New England Clam Chowder. When I opened the can and was taking out the soup I noticed a huge black area on the inside of the can just below the lid ring I thought it was a bad can lining but soon discovered it was the soup itself. Looked like black mildew. Thank God I discovered before we ate some soup. The bottom of the can reads 04May2025HN GV NEC7 with 07;25 3. Please recall this soup immediately before someone gets very ill. Soup was purchased at Food Lion Store at the Pinecrest Mall, Southern Pines, NC.
