Salmonella at Oyster Bar - Rappahannock Oyster Bar (CHS), Charleston South Carolina

Confirmed salmonella poisoning. Myself and another member of my party got very bad salmonella poisoning after eating here (this was the only meal she and I shared together, it was not possible we received it anywhere else). I was seriously sick for over 2 weeks. I went to the doctor and later to the emergency room. I have 5k worth of medical bills (after what my insurance covered). I contacted both the Charleston restaurant location and the main offices for the restaurant to see if they were willing to help with any part of the medical expenses. I was ignored after my initial conversations. If not for the fact that they serve bad oysters, they also clearly do not care about their customers. DHEC is aware of the issue and hopefully something can be done to ensure no one else suffers from their inability to clean the oysters. The meal also generally sucked the night of, before I even got sick from it. Definitely a regretful decision to ever eat here. If you're in Charleston and want oysters.. really anywhere but this not place. | Symptoms: Diarrhea, Nausea, Vomiting
