Frozen Pizza Causes Diarrhea - Safeway, Santa Rosa California

2 years ago reported by user-bkkw6643 business

Safeway, Mendocino Avenue, Santa Rosa, CA, USA

2300 Mendocino Avenue, Santa Rosa, 95403 California, United States

Newman's Own frozen pizza - thin & crispy, deluxe, Had half of the pizza (which is normal for me so it wasn't the amount) but it was slightly soft/undercooked in the middle. Within 10 minutes of finishing it, I got twinges of cramping in my abdomen, figured it was gas, couple farts provided some relief, within 30-45min felt that need to poop - that feeling you know is mostly liquid. And ta da - explosion. | Symptoms: Diarrhea, Gas

Hi, thanks for your comment. Foodborne diseases, in general, refer to more than 250 kinds of disease-causing germs. In the majority of people with mild to moderate symptoms of food poisoning (viral and bacterial), symptoms may resolve in about 24 to 48 hours and there is no additional medical treatment needed. But food poisoning can also take more than a few days or even weeks to resolve. Additionally, you can get sick from food that quickly. TIP: If the contamination is chemical or physical, symptoms can start within minutes. If it is biological contamination, it can start as fast as 30 minutes (e.g. Staph). Other types of contamination can take longer, it all depends on what it was, but it can be fast. Iwaspoisoned Support.
