Frickle Fry Fever Outbreak - Sonic, Intercourse Pennsylvania

Me and my bestfriend each ate a singular frickle fry at sonic along with some ranch. We both had extreme illness and severe symptoms such as nausea, fever, and passing out. We will not be attending this sonic the rest of this week. | Symptoms: Nausea, Vomiting, Fever

'Passing out' as a symptom is crazy. Was alcohol also involved in this Sonic run? A pickle fry is one of the least likely items to get you sick. It's a preserved product that is deep-fried, several kill steps involved. Unless you started to feel numbness from botulism in the pickle, you and your bestie were likely exposed to something else.

Hi, thank you very much for taking the time to comment. Food poisoning symptoms can vary, and different factors may contribute to an illness. While deep-fried and preserved items have kill steps, contamination can still occur. Hope this is helpful and wish you a good day! Best, Iwaspoisoned Support.
'Contamination can still occur'. Would the counter-disinformation specialist be able to provide supporting documentation for biological/chemical contamination incidences in freshly deep-fried foods?
Okay I set the bar really low with chemical contamination since the McD french fry case last year. So the pickles, the breading, or the ranch, right? Does that sound like a promising root cause investigation? I guess what I want to know why it's considered meaningful counter-disinfo discourse to claim that 'contamination can occur', without requesting any additional information from OP. Are you telling me you work in support and read hundreds of flagged comments weekly, but see hazy, month-old food poisoning claims against a business as less harmful than a user pointing out that this is an extremely unlikely food poisoning source? Isn't it in your interest to request the OP to further investigate potential sources?
Thanks for the follow-up question. We stated contamination can occur because even when deep frying kills many bacteria, the risk of cross-contamination is still present and also the risk of the ingredients being already contaminated as you mentioned. We do conduct a thorough backend review of each report and while the details of these reviews are not published on our site, they help us validate and complement the information provided in user reports. We appreciate your comment because it enriches the discussion about food safety and helps us to see a different standpoint on this matter.
