Hey! First off, I'm truly sorry for how sick you got. That's horrible. I know what it's like. Secondly, I was recently at a function where the speaker extolled the problem with eating raw spinach and raw mushrooms, both of these are very hard on the body when they're not cooked. Anyway, this isn't talking about bacteria. Just in general that spinach and mushrooms should be cooked before eating and you will see that in most everywhere else in the world.
