Dragonfruit Drink Dilemma - Starbucks, Colorado Springs Colorado

5 years ago reported by user-hdgyq885 business

Starbucks, 3810 Bloomington Street, Colorado Springs, CO, USA

8/2/2020 I just moved to a new apartment and needed to pick up a few things from the super target at this location. I got there early, did my shopping, and finished about 9am. I hadn't eaten yet so I decided to get some meal at this location. I eat it often and am no new customer to the company, never had problems before, so I think it was just this location or the person working at that time.

I tried the dragonfruit mango drink for the first time, and also ordered a bacon egg and gouda sandwich, which is a personal favorite of mine. The sandwich seemed not as fully cooked as usual but I ate it anyways, assuming that it was safe to eat since its prepackaged food that just gets heated up by the store. I'm not sure if it was the drink or sandwich that made me sick but I'm leaning to the sandwich.

I felt perfectly fine for a few hours afterwards, laid down to rest from moving related exhaustion for a little bit st around noon and that's when problems started. I ended up taking a brief nap, but I woke up because my stomach hurt very bad, the pain got worse over 15-20 minutes before I realized I needed to run to the bathroom. Let's just say my body needed to get everything that was in it out as quickly as possible from both ends, it's been a long time since I was that sick.

While I did feel better afterwards, I've been exhausted and not quite feeling right all day since. :/ I'm not going to give up for ever, but never again from this location and I will be much more scrutinizing with my food from the company moving forward. | Symptoms: Diarrhea, Nausea, Vomiting, Stomach Pain
