Lemon Cake Causes Illness - Starbucks,

My wife and mother in law both shared a lemon cake at the Starbucks at Palm & Kendall last night and have both been throwing up in the past 12 hours. My wife is still throwing up and having a hard time keeping hydrated. That lemon cake is the only thing they both ate besides the dinner that I ate with them (I'm not poisoned). I didn't go to Starbucks with them this time, however, I have been to that location several times and have witnessed them mess up even simple orders from nearly everyone I've gone there with. It never really bothered me until now. My mother-in-law called Starbucks to report what had happened and they didn't even want to take the report. The lady who served them also failed to use a paper tissue when handling the food and they beleive that she might have transferred something from her gloves. If you go to this location, make sure you get what you ordered and without any "extras". FOLLOW UP COMMENTS ADDED > the lemon pound cake... I ended up having to take my wife to urgent care this morning because she couldn't keep her fluids and was starting to have severe abdominal pain (she ate most of it). The doctor even verified the exact timing of the onset as food poisoning. Not sure we can do anything about our bills resulting from this, but I can tell you one thing, all three of us are never going there again. Thank you StarChunks. | Symptoms: Vomiting
