Cryptosporidium Outbreak: Taco Meal - Taco Bell, Weed California

9 years ago reported by user-fvfhw618

Taco Bell, Weed, CA, United States

200 Vista Drive, Weed, 96094 California, United States

I rarely eat fast food or beef for that matter. I ate at Taco Bell in Weed, CA on a road trip home 8/20/2016. On 8/25/16 I developed severe abdominal pain and cramping, intractable vomiting, fevers and severe diarrhea. I ended up being admitted to the hospital for a week due to intestinal inflammation and being so ill. I was diagnosed with cryptosporidium parvum. My brother also go sick but with milder symptoms from eating a similar meal with beef from the same location that same day on the trip with me. Will be reporting to the USDA food and safety handling. | Symptoms: Diarrhea, Nausea, Fever, Vomiting, Cramps, Stomach Pain
