Thats not due to the product being bad, thats the benefits of hummus dip. It can be a natural "softener". There is hardly anything in that for it to cause any issues. Its just chick peas, lemon juice garlic and salt.

While it is true eating foods like hummus can cause stool softening, nausea and vomiting are not usually included! Sounds like some sort of illness and not a natural effect from eating hummus.

Hummus is usually made of cooked chick peas, so it must be treated as Potentially Hazardous Food (PHF), which means to be kept cold on or below 4C.

I rarely shop at TJ’s anymore because of all their recalls. Something is always wrong with their food quality. There are even reports of some food having plastic pieces in it. Be careful what you buy from there.
