Hope you're feeling better. I've gotten food poisoning 5 times within past year. Used to love restaurant dining until I happened to see what was going on in the kitchen of Zinicola's at Ballantyne Village, had a friend end up in the ER after having a salad bar serving put her in the ER, was told by a Gastroenterologist's PA she had gotten so sick from restaurant & other prepared foods she decided to study and work in Gastroenterology. . .It's boiled down to "what CAN we eat"? My answer has been eggs & sourdough toast. Any questions about eggs (yes, they lie a lot on their packaging -- I know that for sure based on reading & seeing news reports showing proof that so called "expired eggs" were just repackaged by the companies that sold them & put in new boxes with different exp dates. At least there is a way to test an egg. Put the egg in a glass of water. If it sinks to the bottom, it's probably fine. If it floats it has a lot of air in it which means it's old and not to be eaten. Wishing you well! https://www.australianeggs.org.au/facts-and-tips/tell-if-eggs-are-bad#:~:text=Simply%20fill%20a%20bowl%20with,eggs%20should%20be%20thrown%20out.
