That's almost definitely a diamondback moth larva, which is one of many little green worms colloquially referred to as "cabbage worms". They aren't poisonous, don't carry disease, and are harmless to everything besides the leafy greens they eat and the sanity of gardeners everywhere. When you choose organic produce, you must expect a hitchhiker once in a while. I can't say what caused your gastrointestinal distress, but I assure you that the cabbage worm is 100% innocent.

Hi, thank you for sharing this information. Some insects commonly found on produce, including certain cabbage worms, are generally not considered harmful to humans if accidentally ingested. However, symptoms can vary depending on many factors, and it can be difficult to determine the exact cause of gastrointestinal illness without medical evaluation or testing. We always encourage anyone experiencing concerning symptoms to consult a healthcare professional. Best, Iwaspoisoned Support.
