Chorizo Taquito Salmonella Case - Whataburger, Dallas Texas

On Tuesday June 19, 2018 I ate a chorizo taquito from this Whataburger. I noticed at the time the taquito did not have its regular flavor but against my best judgement invested half of it before not being able to tolerate it. Within 6 hours I began to lose my appetite and struggled to eat my lunch, and within 8 hours I had diarrhea. As soon as I got home around 9pm - I spiked a fever of 103degrees with intense aches and chills. I began to have diarrhea every 15 minutes. This continued for the 3 days. I sought medical attention in an ER for IV fluids and labs. I was sent home with anti cramping meds and and antibiotic and my blood was sent off for a culture. I have now been sick for 5+ Days and have confirmed salmonella poisoning. My symptoms are still awful and I have to call for a gastrointestinal consult Monday morning. I am searching for any others who may have shared my experience? | Symptoms: Diarrhea, Fever, Nausea, Cramps, Gas, Chills
