Food Safety Report: Whole Foods Market, Hughes Landing Boulevard, The Woodlands, TX, United States.

Whole Foods Market, Hughes Landing Boulevard, The Woodlands, TX, United States

1925 Hughes Landing Boulevard, The Woodlands, 77381 Texas, United States

I was an employee at this Whole foods, locatated in the woodlands. I went on break and purchased the queso and some chips, ate them, went back to work the rest of the day and after returning home became incredibly ill. The entire week before this, I had eaten only food from my workplace, so I have no doubt as to the source of the illness. The queso was all I ate before I became ill that day. It was room temp and had a slightly chunky texture, but I was starving and pressed for time. Worst food poisoning I've ever had. Lasted approx 48 hours with INTENSE vomiting and diarrhea. Serious fever and dehydration caused me to go to the hospital. They didn't name a specific bacteria or virus that I might have had, but gave me IV fluids and monitored me while I got better. The reason I'm reporting this, is when I called my supervisor to let them know I had gotten sick from the queso de Jorge, I faced what I would call extreme skepticism. They didn't take my call seriously at all, and gawked at my request to toss the queso. Wouldn't consider my requests for help with the medical bill, and I was let go of shortly after this for a reason that wasn't given to me. | Symptoms: Diarrhea, Nausea, Fever, Vomiting, Dehydration
