Cancún Wedding Illness Woes - Hotel, Cancún Quintana Roo

Stayed at Xcaret for a wedding and on the 15th of October began to feel off. On the 16th we went out to dinner immediately getting up from the table. I felt nauseous when we got back to the room a couple hours later I began to vomit with diarrhea at the same time. Luckily things calmed down because we flew out the next day on the 17th. Over the next couple of days I felt OK but my stomach just wasn’t right and then on Friday the 20th. I woke up with joint pain all over. I tried to ignore it and took some ibuprofen and went on with my day but then by around 1:30 in the afternoon I felt like I had been hit by a truck. I had a fever of over 101 and then by around 430. I had to go to the emergency room because I felt so sick. There is no definitive diagnosis only that I’d probably have a virus. since then I’ve just been alternating Tylenol and Advil if I don’t take it, my fever shoots right back up to over 101. I’m constantly nauseous, headache, can barely eat, a horrible taste in my mouth, dizzy, but I have no diarrhea. Actually I haven’t had a bowel movement in three days. I’ll be going to the doctor tomorrow. Whatever you do don’t stay at this hotel. | Symptoms: Nausea, Vomiting, Diarrhea, Fever, Headache, Joint Pain, Dizziness
