The Food Standards Agency (FSA) has issued a warning for consumers not to consume 'Cali-Gold' chocolate bars, connected to a recent outbreak of reported illnesses in Nottinghamshire. This product has been available for sale at Mansfield Market in Nottinghamshire.
Concerning the safety alert, the FSA is currently... tracing any wider distribution of the product beyond Mansfield Market. The authorities urge consumers who have bought the 'Cali-Gold' chocolate bar to refrain from eating it and to appropriately dispose it at home.
The agency, in collaboration with local authorities, the UK Health Security Agency and Nottinghamshire Police, is currently investigating the matter. The investigation was prompted by police reports of people falling sick after consuming the 'Cali-Gold' chocolate bars. Notably, this led to an arrest connected to these incidents.

Got a burger and friends along with chicken tenders. I was literally up all night with diarrhea and vomiting simultaneously. I wasn’t sure if I had to go to the hospital because of the fever. Just got a KFC a few hours... ago for a late lunch, after an hour & half drive back into the north started with cramps and discomfort followed by a very unpleasant rest room stop when arriving at my home.

The FSIS announced the recall of approximately 708 pounds of ready-to-eat (RTE) beef and poultry products by Pelleh Poultry Corp that may be adulterated with Listeria monocytogenes. These products were shipped to retail and institutional locations in New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania. There have been no... confirmed reports of adverse reactions due to consumption of these products.
The list of the recalled products is in the images below. These products were packaged on various dates from October 25, 2023, through November 20, 2023, and bear establishment number “EST. P44121” inside the USDA mark of inspection.
The problem was discovered when the establishment notified FSIS that its laboratory testing indicated the product may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes.
FSIS is concerned that some product may be in consumer or institutional refrigerators or freezers. Do not consume the recalled products. Institutions are urged not to serve these products.
