Had a Chalupa Box, steak quesadilla,and a loaded griller at 9 pm. By 12 am the nausea and vomiting hit by 2 am the diarrhea hit.
There were other people in our party who had the same food and they got sick as well.

1/20/2017 my husband bought take out Grilled Chicken Cobb Salad for me and Grilled Chicken House Salad for him. At about 2PM that day we each a little of our salads and put the rest in the refrigerator. Around 7:30PM I ate almost all of my remaining... See More salad. Shortly thereafter I began feeling very bloated and generally not well. At 11PM I went to bed with pains in the chest and stomach area (I attributed to gas). Woke up at midnight with severe pains in the chest and back, still thought it was gas. Took some Pepto and went back to bed. At 2AM I awoke with severe pain in my entire abdominal area. I got up and went to the bathroom, feeling nausated. I began vomiting tan thin gravy consistency stuff. The pains were increasing and I told my husband that I needed to go the ER. At that time he said we had to call our daughter to take me as he was sick also and was having diaherrea. I arrived at the ER around 3AM. They started IV fluids and administered nausea and pain meds. I had CT and sonor done. Then was administered additional nausea and pain meds. I was released from the ER around 9AM with a dx of Gastroenteritis. The discharge summary says gastroenteritis is hard to tell from food poisoning. The Dr. said because I and hubby were both sick after eating the salad he believes we have food poisoning. The FSIS is issuing a public health alert for canned meat product (SPAM Classic) due to under-processing. This product was shipped to H.E.B. retail locations in Texas. There have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions due to consumption of these products. A recall was not requested... The affected product is:
- 12-oz. metal cans containing "SPAM Classic" with "BEST BY AUG 2026" date and lot code A08173 printed on the bottom of the can. The canned meat item was produced by Hormel Foods Corp. Services, LLC, an Austin, Minn. establishment, on Aug. 17, 2023.
The product bears establishment number "EST. 199" inside the USDA mark of inspection.
The problem was discovered when the firm reported that they inadvertently shipped product that may not have been adequately processed to reach commercial sterility.
FSIS is concerned that some product may be in consumers' pantries or refrigerators. Consumers who have purchased these products are urged not to consume them.
