Cornelius Elementary School linked to Norovirus outbreak

3 years ago source wbtv.com business

21126 Catawba Avenue, Cornelius, 28031 North Carolina, United States

Mecklenburg County Public Health is investigating a norovirus outbreak at Cornelius Elementary School in Cornelius, NC.

According to the news, last Thursday some students and staff at the school developed norovirus-like symptoms. The school was cleaned and disinfected before reopening Friday.

MCPH advised that people with illnesses consistent with Norovirus should stay out of work or school until 48 hours after symptoms have resolved.

In case you are experiencing symptoms like diarrhea, nausea, and vomiting, it is important to report it. It can help to detect & resolve outbreaks early and prevent others from being harmed, and it enables better surveillance.
