我 6 岁的女儿在那里待了 1.5 天后开始呕吐和腹泻。接下来的 5 天她在酒店房间里度过。她有可怕的胃痛让行走变得困难。当她开始发烧时，我们去看了度假村的医生，我们开了治疗胃炎的抗生素处方。她继续恶化。我们让她保持足够的水分让她回家。到达美国后，我们就带她去了急诊室。她病得很重，有报道显示她得了沙门氏菌。她住院了3天，目前仍在家中康复。医生告诉我们，给她服用的抗生素实际上减慢了沙门氏菌的速度，延长了沙门氏菌的使用寿命，使沙门氏菌变得更糟。她唯一吃的食物来自自助餐。里面到处都是鸟，降落在食物上，我们甚至在我丈夫的水里还有一个便便。太不卫生了。正是从地狱出发，才导致住院。我们不会回来了。

We had a crew that went for my Sons wedding and although the food and general experience was not the greatest I did not get sick until the day before we were flying home. We were all down the pool and having a good time when the
bartender handed me a drink and said, "try this." I took it from him and took one sip and immediately felt strange. I told my wife that I didn't feel right and needed to go to the room. I became violently ill vomiting with diarrhea which lasted the night. I was also extremely paranoid, feeling like I was going to die. I did not want her to leave my side all night. I did not sleep all night and by the grace of God I started to feel a little better the next morning and was able to shower and make it to the airport to fly home. I will never again go to the Dominican. This happened July 14th 2017. I told people at the time I thought I was poisoned and they thought I was nuts. Oh, by the way the night before I was jumped, hit over the head and robbed. Classy place. Never again.

I went to the Dominican Republic with my family in April and returned on May 4, 2019. I only had food and drink from the resort. After rounds of antibiotics and testing I am still sick I have difficulty eating solid food and have lost 25lbs. Still
awaiting some test results., I didn’t feel well the last couple of days there and the explosive diarrhea and vomiting started shortly after returning.
