So I have a problem. I am very particular when I eat. Like I find something I really like to eat and suddenly that’s all I crave and I will literally only eat that. Well I recently got that craving for Lucky Charms cereal. Like I literally... See More eat it 3-4 times a day. I know it sounds crazy but when I think about eating something else nothing sounds good. Well as I’ve been on my “Lucky Charms Obsession” (that’s what my sister calls it@ I have noticed that I am having significant abdominal pain, gas, and diarrhea. When I pass gas it smells very foul but almost has a Lucky Charms smell to it. When I have diarrhea it literally is GREEN and it smells foul but also semi-sweet. It smells like Lucky Charms. I’ve had 4 different people tell me that. I also can’t seem to hold it. Like when I eat Lucky Charms and my stomach starts cramping, making weird noises, and getting gassy I have to go to the bathroom immediately. I don’t know what’s going on with Lucky Charms but I can 100% say it is the Lucky Charms causing this because I literally don’t eat any else. Well now I’m fixing to have to because this hurts so much and is so uncomfortable. I just want to know what is going on because I haven’t seen or heard of a recall and I know several people have reported this. I figured since General Mills has done anything about it or even acknowledged there could be a problem with it to the public that I might as well go ahead and tell my story too. My 4 year old daughter had a more than 2 week saga of stomach issues after eating lucky charms. She would be violently ill in the evening time including severe nausea and vomiting. Like when I say severe - there were hours on end each day that... See More she SCREAMED in pain. After 3 days, I took her to the ER, worried about appendicitis. They claimed constipation, but I wasn’t so sure. She would also have diarrhea occasionally. I followed up with her PCP, to be told the same thing. They recommended miralax and soft foods. It didn’t help. Eventually she got over it, like I said after more than 2 weeks. Hoping something will be found from this.
