Suspected source: A few bites of a Klondike Double Chocolate Bar that I bought today. I stopped eating it when I smelled something and then sniffed all over the package and bar and noticed a chemical smell! I... See More went to the freezer and sniffed the packaging. The outside plastic wrap didn't smell, so not on the outside. I sniffed each bar wrapper and smell a heavy chemical smell on every one of them. They looked like they were messed with in the box possibly during prepackaging.
Onset: other: First 5-15 mins.
Duration: other: The lightheadedness and puckered tounge is still happening. It's been about 15+ mins now.
Sick: other: I am the only one, since no one else had one.
Additional information: It's been about 20 mins now, initially I had puckered tongue, like all my tastebuds were rough and firm. Then I got a headache and felt pretty lightheaded to the point I had to sit down. I had 3 bites of it before I noticed the smell, then did my inspection. It smells like a heavy duty chemical. This isn't Publix Fault. The Shrink wrap was undamaged so this happened at the Klondike Bar Factory. The Double Chocolate bars were purchased today on May 31, 2023. Lucky I am the only one of my family that had a few bites of one, before I noticed a strong smell coming off the wrapper it was wrapped in that was at the bottom of the bar. | Symptoms: Nausea, Headache, Lightheaded See Less
