Undercooked Patty Melt Illness

Wife picked up some here for dinner as we had just gotten back into town and didn’t want to cook. The patty melt tasted off but I continued on anyway. Fast forward three days and I was hospitalized with a severe colon infection likely due to undercooked ground beef.  | Symptoms: Nausea, Diarrhea, Vomiting
