I checked and had one vodka drink while waiting to check in. I had another drink during their time share sales pitch shortly after as well as one off their “shots” of something local they say they are famous for. After unpacking, I went to the bar in the kids pool area and had guacamole/ chips and three vodka and water drinks. We brought our own flavored mix from home that we drink all of the time. Within an hour of drinking at the pool bar. My stomach began to feel full and uncomfortable. Thinking I just ate too many chips, I didnt think too much about it. After walking around the complex with friends, I began to feel sick and developed a fever. I went to the room and showered to get ready for dinner. When we met our group inside at the restaurant, I could barely stand up with body aches, fever and nausea. I went to the room and left my group. I vomited several times that night and could barley get out of bed. This was for the next day and a half. Monday afternoon, I felt ok and tried to enjoy the remaining week, but never felt 100%. As of today (6/19). My stomach still feels a little nauseated and my appetite comes and goes. I tried getting a blood test or asking CDC what I should do, but doctor will not prescribe blood test due to not knowing what to test for and CDC has been no help. Doesn’t feel good seeing the news of all the people far worse than me, My recommendation is to never step foot in D.R. | Síntomas: Diarrea, Fiebre, Náusea, Vómitos, Dolor en el cuerpo
