Recall notice

Ireland

The FSAI announced the recall of batches of cheddar cheeses with Original Irish Porter, Original Irish Whiskey, Red Wine, Original Irish Cream Liqueur and Wild Blueberries & Vodka by Cahills Farm Cheese due to possible presence of Listeria monocytogenes.

The recalled products are:

- Cahill’s Ireland Original Irish Porter, pack size: all blocks, wheels and pieces
- Cahill’s Ireland Original Irish Whiskey, pack size: all blocks, wheels and pieces
- Cahill’s Ireland Red Wine, pack size: all blocks, wheels and pieces
- Cahill’s Ireland Original Irish Cream Liqueur, pack size: all blocks, wheels and pieces
- Cahill’s Ireland Wild Blueberries & Vodka, pack size: all blocks, wheels and pieces

FSAI advises retailers that they are requested to remove the implicated batches from sale and to display a point-of-sale recall notice in stores where the affected batches were sold. Wholesalers/distributors are requested to contact their affected customers, recall the affected batches and provide a point-of-sale recall notice to their retail customers. Caterers should not use the implicated batches.

Consumers are advised not to eat the implicated batches.

In case you are experiencing listeria monocytogenes symptoms such as high fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain, and diarrhea, it is important to report it. It can help to detect & resolve outbreaks early and prevent others from being harmed, and it enables better surveillance.
