Dried “Sweet Potato” - recalled due to undeclared sulfites

The New York’s Department of Agriculture and Markets announced an alert to consumers about Apollo Food International Inc., recalling a dried “Sweet Potato” due to the presence of undeclared sulfites. People who have severe sensitivity to sulfites may run the risk of serious or life-threatening reactions if they consume this product. To date, no illnesses have been reported to this Department in connection with this product.

The product was sold to retail food stores in Brooklyn and Queens, NY. The recalled “Sweet Potato” is packaged in clear plastic clamshell containers which weight approximately two pounds. All codes of the product are subject to the recall.

Consumers who are sensitive to sulfites and have purchased “Sweet Potato” should not consume it.
