Easy Eats Pandemanila Kalihim, a type of Philippine Bread Roll, has been recalled due to an undeclared egg allergen. The products have been distributed in British Columbia. There has been one reported reaction associated with the consumption of these products.The recall affects two products:
- Kalihim pan de pula (Philippine Bread Roll with Red Custard), Size: 300g, UPC: 8 70580 00007 9.
- Kalihim pan de ube (Philippine Bread Roll with Ube Custard), Size: 300g, UPC: 8 70580 00017 8.
The agency is verifying that the industry is removing the recalled products from the marketplace.
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) advises consumers who are allergic or sensitive to eggs not to consume the recalled products as they may cause a serious or life-threatening reaction. The products should be returned to the location where they were purchased.
