EB Food Essentials is recalling all its food products due to production and sale from an unregistered establishment in Coolanagh, Ballickmoyler, Co. Laois. The recall affects all products distributed from this location, as they were not subject to official controls.The recall applies to all EB Food Essentials food items, across all pack sizes, batch numbers, and expiry dates. Examples include goat meat, lamb cuts, snails, catfish, dried prawns, dried fish, melon egusi, bitter leaf, dried peppers, locust bean, and uziza seed.
The issue was identified because the establishment was not registered, raising concerns about compliance with food safety legislation. The recall was initiated on December 12, 2025, and is classified as a Category 1 alert for action.
