Update October 20th, 2025:Following the initial recall by Black Sheep Egg Company, Kenz Henz of Santa Fe, TX, has recalled its Grade AA Large Pasture Raised Eggs (12-count cartons) received from Black Sheep Egg Company due to potential Salmonella contamination.
The affected Kenz Henz eggs were sold in retail stores in Houston, Texas, and can be identified by UPC 86949400030, Julian dates 241–244 and 246–247, and Best By dates from October 11–17, 2025.
Authorities note that additional products may be added as the investigation continues.

September 29th, 2025:
Black Sheep Egg Company has issued a recall for its Free Range Large Grade A Brown Eggs due to potential Salmonella contamination. The recall affects 12- and 18-count cartons sold in Arkansas and Missouri in the United States, distributed between July 9, 2025, and September 17, 2025.
The recalled eggs are:
- Branded under Black Sheep Egg Company
- With Best By dates from 8/22/2025 to 10/31/2025.
- The affected UPC codes are 860010568507 and 860010568538.
- The recall quantity has not been specified.
The issue was discovered during an FDA inspection that found Salmonella in environmental samples. The recall was initiated on September 29, 2025, and is classified as a Class I recall. Further distribution details are pending.
