The Fresh Chile Company is recalling their Fresh Chile Co BBQ Sweet & Spicy BBQ Sauces due to an undeclared allergen: Fish (anchovies). These products were distributed to wholesale customers and individuals via firm's website and gift shop.The recalled products are:
- Sweet & Spicy BBQ sauce, Fresh Chile BBQ sweet & Spicy Medium. 19 fluid ounce glass jar 19 fl oz. (510g) , with a metal screw top lid. Lot #'s 062122-21 062122-31 062222-21 062222-31 062322-21 062322-31 062722-11 062722-21 062722-31 Lot code is the date of cook then dash, the kettle # and cook in that kettle on that day, as in Kettle 2 first cook (21). Product Quantity: 6,475 individual units distributed to wholesale customers and individuals via firm's website and gift shop.
- Sweet & Spicy BBQ sauce, Fresh Chile BBQ sweet & Spicy Hot. 16 fluid ounce glass jar 19 fl oz. (510g) , with a metal screw top lid. Lot #'s Lot # 091522-11 806 jars Lot # 091522-21 810 jars Lot # 110822-11 1641 jars Lot# 052923-11 1666 jars Lot code is the date of cook then dash, the kettle # and cook in that kettle on that day, as in Kettle 2 first cook (21). Product Quantity: 4,923.
6,453 6,475 19 fl oz. (510g) jars were distributed to wholesale customers and individuals. From June 21 2022 last date of distribution April 12 2023. With 81 sold through the giftshop from April 13th to August 25 2023. Wholesale customers 28, internet customers to be determined. 18 6,453 6,475 19 fl oz. (510g) jars remain in the firm's possession, under quarantine.
This recall was initiated on 8/25/2023 and its status is ongoing. Do not consume, sell, or distribute the recalled products.
