Recall notice

GetGo Apples with Peanut Butter Dip - Giant Eagle - recalled due to potential Salmonella

3 years ago source wpxi.com

Ohio, United States

Giant Eagle has issued a voluntary recall of GetGo-branded Apples with Peanut Butter Dip from GetGo stores for potential salmonella contamination. The recalled product was sold in GetGo locations in Pennsylvania, Ohio, West Virginia and Indiana through May 13, 2022. This comes as part of the Jif peanut butter recall, since the peanut butter in the dip is included in that recall.

The affected product can be identified by the UPC 30034 93770 6 and includes best if used by dates through May 29, 2022.

According to GetGo, 215 items were sold.

If you have the recalled product in your home, please do not eat it, throw it away or return it to the local GetGo for a refund.

In case you are experiencing Salmonella symptoms such as diarrhea, abdominal cramps, and fever, it is important to report it. It can help to detect & resolve outbreaks early and prevent others from being harmed, and it enables better surveillance. If symptoms persist seek medical care.
